Job Summary

Join the Experimental Physics team at Saarland University as a Research Associate, playing a pivotal role in an innovative EFRE project. You will be instrumental in developing and manufacturing a bio-FET component, a key project outcome for a marker-free, eco-friendly sensor technology detecting heavy metal ions in industrial waste. Your responsibilities will include system specification, test setup, and optimizing the bio-FET components based on calibrated test results, working closely with the project partner KIST. This position requires a strong academic background in physics, electrical engineering, or materials research, excellent English language skills, and a keen interest in scientific work and publishing. Experience in thin-film technology, particularly with atomic force microscopy and cleanroom environments, is highly valued. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Research; Above-average academic performance

Experience

  • Professional experience in scientific work and publishing
  • Professional experience in thin-film technology, preferably with experience in atomic force microscopy, cleanrooms, sputtering systems, and lithography systems
  • Experience in an international team environment
