Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Industrial Electrician responsible for maintaining and ensuring the operational readiness of complex plant machinery. Key daily tasks involve independently diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical components such as motors, switchgear, and E-machines, with a focus on conventional contactor control systems. The technician will also perform routine maintenance, preventative upkeep, and assist with limited fault finding on automated PLC technology, specifically Simatic S7 and TIA Portal, utilizing programming devices under instruction. Additional duties include building and installing control cabinets, connecting new machinery for low voltage distribution, and rigorously testing fixed and portable systems in accordance with DGVU3 (VDE 702) standards. Candidates must possess completed vocational training as an Industrial Electrician, strong knowledge of VDE regulations, drive technology, and the ability to interpret complex electrical schematics.
