Job Summary

This role is based within the Facility Management department of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), where the focus is on optimizing and maintaining critical electrical infrastructure to support research and innovation. The Certified Electrical Technician acts as a decisive service provider responsible for all technical systems, properties, and general building infrastructure. Key responsibilities include coordinating and participating in maintenance activities for electrical systems (including DGUV Regulation 3 compliance), designing and selecting switching and control equipment, and performing maintenance on 20 kV high-voltage and low-voltage installations. A crucial aspect involves planning circuits to monitor experimental procedures, thereby preventing significant economic damage in the event of a fault. Candidates must hold a state-certified Electrical Technician qualification or equivalent, possess long-term professional experience, particularly with HV/LV systems, and demonstrate proficiency in MS Office and CAD applications. The position requires a self-reliant, responsible, and team-oriented approach, offering the chance to contribute to sustainable technology development in an inspiring environment.
