Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Medical Technical Laboratory Assistant (MTLA) or Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) to join a major independent medical laboratory in Dortmund, focusing on specialized diagnostics within Classical Cytogenetics and Chromosome Analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the end-to-end preparation of samples, including establishing cell cultures from diverse sources such as amniotic fluid, blood, and bone marrow. The technician will be responsible for manufacturing chromosome preparations, utilizing specialized banding techniques, and performing preliminary evaluations of slides using computer-aided karyotyping systems. Key requirements include a relevant technical qualification (MTLA/BTA or equivalent) and proficiency in German, both written and spoken.
