Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Audit Manager specializing in the Public Sector, based in Duisburg. The primary responsibility involves managing the audits of annual and consolidated financial statements for public sector entities, particularly universities and local authorities. The manager will also contribute to project work, special assignments in tax consulting and corporate finance, and provide comprehensive client advice on complex business and tax matters. Candidates must possess a university degree in Business Administration (focusing on Auditing, Accounting, or Taxes) and several years of relevant professional experience, including strong knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB). The position offers excellent flexibility, including mobile working options (at least two days per week) and up to four weeks of 'Workation' annually from EU countries, alongside robust support for further professional qualifications (e.g., WP, StB, CISA).

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Business Administration with a focus on Taxes, Auditing, Accounting, Controlling, or a similar field.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in a relevant field
  • Experience managing audits of financial statements for public sector entities
  • Industry experience (ideally)
  • Experience in providing comprehensive client support on business and tax issues
