Job Summary

This role within the Swiss Special Forces Command involves crucial operational and administrative coordination for professional training and deployments, both nationally and internationally. The Operations Officer is responsible for coordinating short, medium, and long-term training plans, developing required contributions for operative and tactical levels, and ensuring synchronization and information exchange during situation monitoring. Acting as a vital interface between the Special Forces Command Staff and subordinate professional units, the officer supports planning, organization, follow-up, and implementation of lessons learned from exercises and engagements in Switzerland and abroad. A key part of the role is autonomously leading projects related to doctrine, engagement procedures, and command development. Candidates must possess a minimum 3-year professional qualification, significant military or security experience, and must be a commissioned Officer in the Swiss Army, willing to be reassigned to the Special Forces Command. This challenging environment requires excellent communication skills and a willingness to undertake short or long-term deployments globally.

Required Skills

Education

Minimum 3-year professional qualification validated by a Certificate of Capacity or equivalent diploma from a state-recognized school.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the military or security domain
  • Experience as an Officer in the Swiss Army with willingness to be reassigned to the troop within the Special Forces Command
  • Ideally, in-depth knowledge of staff work at the troop corps or large unit level
