This role is for an Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Transmission and Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS). The engineer will manage international plant projects focused on reactive power compensation, overseeing the entire lifecycle from initial proposal generation through to final customer handover. Key responsibilities include developing software for FACTS control systems (like SVC/STATCOM), drafting detailed technical documentation and design specifications, and executing rigorous functional and customer acceptance tests at the Erlangen test center. A strong focus is placed on ensuring compliance with quality standards, cost constraints, and IT security requirements. The position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Electronics or Automation Technology, and involves significant global travel for multi-week commissioning assignments. Candidates must possess fluent German and good English skills, coupled with a high degree of customer and results orientation, making this an ideal opportunity for both experienced professionals and motivated entry-level candidates with relevant project background.
