Job Summary

This role as an Electrical Design Engineer, based in Erlangen, involves taking ownership of electrical design projects, particularly within specialized machine construction (Sondermaschinenbau). Day-to-day responsibilities include the independent design and dimensioning of control, measurement, and drive components, drafting electrical schematics, creating parts lists, and planning switch cabinets. A crucial part of the job is ensuring quality and compliance by developing control system safety concepts according to current guidelines and standards, in close collaboration with the control software department. Successful candidates must hold a degree or technical qualification in Electrical or Automation Engineering and possess professional experience in electrical design within a mechanical engineering context. Ideal candidates will also have application knowledge of the CAE system WSCAD.
