Job Summary

This role is for an IT Specialist focused on client administration, support, and hotline services within the Department for Digitalization, Organization, and IT for the City of Stuttgart. The successful candidate will be responsible for incident and problem management at the service desk, supporting hardware, software, and specialized municipal software. Key tasks include administering and supporting end-user devices, primarily Windows-based systems and mobile devices across multiple locations, ensuring IT security for these devices, and managing the lifecycle of IT assets from reception to disposal. The position requires a customer-oriented approach, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining IT service quality.

Required Skills

Education

Completed IT-related vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist)

Experience

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the IT sector
  • Experience in client administration with Windows 11
  • Experience in automated software distribution
  • Experience at a service desk
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITIL)
  • Experience in developing structured and customer-oriented solutions

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Willingness to regularly staff the hotline and central late hotline (approx. 1 day per week). For foreign degrees from non-EU countries, official recognition in Germany is required. For non-German certificates/degrees, a translation by a sworn interpreter/translator is necessary.
