Job Summary
The City of Stuttgart is seeking a JavaScript Software Engineer to join its Digitalization, Organization, and IT Office (DO.IT). This role is crucial for expanding and optimizing development platforms through custom JavaScript functionalities. The successful candidate will advise and support 'Citizen Developers,' conduct coaching sessions, organize workshops, and analyze user needs to enhance services. This position involves identifying, resolving, and documenting platform issues, as well as introducing improvements and new features to boost efficiency and user-friendliness. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science or a comparable university degree, or vocational training in IT with several years of professional experience in the field. For foreign degrees, recognition in Germany or proof of equivalent qualification is required.
Experience
- Professional experience in the IT sector, specifically in the area of activity for the role
- Several years of experience with JavaScript
- Good understanding of complex, networked systems
- Experience in creating, developing, and extending workflow-based applications
- Experience in municipal structures (beneficial)
Languages
Additional
- Candidates must be eligible for employment in Germany. For foreign degrees, official recognition in Germany is required. For non-German certificates and degrees, a translation by sworn interpreters or translators is necessary.
