Job Summary

This role involves working as a Building Services Technician focused on Heating, Cooling, Ventilation, and Sanitation (HKLS) systems in Cologne. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing and diagnosing faults in complex HVAC/R systems, utilizing both the Building Management System (BMS) and direct system analysis (MSR/Control technology). You will independently resolve minor disturbances and coordinate external service providers for complex repairs. A key focus is supporting energy efficiency through hydraulic balancing and optimizing existing plant technology, some of which may be decades old. The ideal candidate holds a completed qualification in building technology, preferably a Master Craftsman or Technician certification in relevant trades. Success requires a strong technical understanding, analytical troubleshooting skills, proficiency in MS Office, and initial experience coordinating technical vendors, ideally utilizing CAFM tools.
