Job Summary

This Project Associate role is vital for advancing the Cross-University IT Service for Research Data Management (HITS-FDM) across Bavarian higher education institutions. The successful candidate will primarily manage and coordinate the operation and expansion of centrally hosted RDM services, specifically the RDMO multi-site instance. Day-to-day tasks include the administration of RDMO production and test environments, including updates, configuration, and plugin adjustments on virtual Linux servers. A key technical responsibility involves developing RDMO plugins to facilitate data transfer to other scientific information systems (like CRIS/FIS). The role requires a scientific university degree (Master's, ideally in Computer Science) coupled with strong technical skills in Linux server administration, web server technologies (Apache/nginx), and authentication solutions (LDAP/Shibboleth). Candidates must possess excellent German (C2) and very good English (C1) skills, along with a keen interest in research data management and community engagement.
