Job Summary

The System Engineer will be responsible for the administration and operation of specialized insurance industry software, focusing heavily on middleware and system architecture development within the Communal Supply Fund Westphalia-Lippe (kvw). Day-to-day tasks include managing and evolving operational processes and interfaces, programming automation scripts using languages like PowerShell, Perl, and Python, and providing Second Level Support, particularly for external service providers. A key focus is on ensuring IT security in collaboration with the Security Operation Center and maintaining robust documentation for databases, interfaces, and workflows. Candidates must possess a degree in Informatics or a related field, strong knowledge of SQL, XML, and JSON, and experience with server/client administration and IT Service Management (ITIL). Required Skills

Education

Completed (Technical) University Degree (Diploma/Bachelor) in Informatics, Business Informatics, or Business Administration with a focus on Informatics; OR completed vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist, IT Management Assistant, or IT System Electronics Technician) with long-term comparable professional experience.

Experience
