Job Summary

This permanent, full-time position, starting January 1, 2026, involves crucial regulatory oversight within the Office for Trade Supervision, focusing on Immission Control and Waste Law. The successful candidate will consult, support, and monitor facilities under the Federal Immission Control Act. Core day-to-day tasks include preparing expert technical statements for approval and permitting procedures, evaluating complex application documents, and handling neighborhood complaints related to noise, odor, and vibrations, often involving sound level measurements and software analysis. Additionally, the role encompasses comprehensive occupational safety duties, including technical and organizational labor protection for industrial sites, and investigating workplace accidents. Key qualifications require a completed degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in a technical or natural science field such as Process, Environmental, or Electrical Engineering. Candidates must demonstrate strong initiative, assertiveness, negotiation skills, and the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams. Professional experience in environmental or occupational protection is highly beneficial.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree (Bachelor of Engineering/Science or equivalent) in a technical or natural science discipline (e.g., Process Engineering, Environmental Technology, Electrical Engineering); OR Completed further training as a Technician with equivalent abilities.

Experience

  • Professional experience in occupational and/or environmental protection (Preferred)
  • Experience in trade supervision (Preferred)
