Job Summary

This full-time role in Mülheim an der Ruhr involves performing crucial mechanical material testing within a dedicated laboratory for a leading global power plant construction firm. Day-to-day tasks include operating creep testing facilities and conducting standard destructive tests such as tensile and impact testing. Candidates with specific experience operating servo-hydraulic testing machines may also be responsible for advanced cyclic fatigue testing (LCF). Key qualifications include a minimum of three years of professional experience in materials testing, or a relevant technical background (e.g., Industrial Mechanic, Metal Fabricator) combined with further qualification as a Technician or Industrial Master in Metal, focusing on the destructive testing of metallic materials. The position offers an unlimited contract, competitive compensation based on the IG Metall/Electro collective agreement, and a strong option for permanent employment with the client.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as Industrial Mechanic, Metal Fabricator, Construction Mechanic, or Locksmith, combined with further qualification as a Technician or Industrial Master (Metal).

Experience
