This crucial Project Manager role involves steering and controlling two major urban development projects in Halle (Saale): the 'Future Center for German Unity and European Transformation' and the 'RAW Site'. The successful candidate will work closely with the Deputy Mayor to drive the strategic direction and implementation of these infrastructure initiatives, including related measures at Riebeckplatz and Leipziger Straße. Key responsibilities include managing financial planning, securing EU, Federal, and State funding, and developing urban planning concepts, building regulations, and public spaces to meet municipal goals. The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Architecture, Urban Planning, or Civil Engineering, combined with several years of professional experience leading projects and teams. The position is permanent and offers the chance to actively shape the future, sustainable development of Halle (Saale) by integrating historical and modern elements.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, Traffic Planning, or Civil Engineering; or completion of advanced administrative training (Beschäftigtenlehrgang II or Verwaltungsbetriebswirt/Betriebswirt (VWA))
Experience
- Several years in leading projects and teams
- Professional experience in public administration (desired)
- Professional experience in urban and regional planning, urban development law, and relevant environmental regulations
