Job Summary

This role involves ensuring clean water and protecting natural habitats within the Harburg district, working for a modern, citizen-focused administration. Day-to-day responsibilities include independently approving, monitoring, and inspecting small sewage treatment plants, utilizing a solution-oriented approach and negotiation skills. The technician will also evaluate building applications concerning wastewater disposal from a technical perspective, and communicate decisions clearly and service-orientedly to citizens. Furthermore, the role requires managing and reviewing projects related to the expansion of water bodies and construction near them, as well as conducting water body inspections with maintenance associations. A critical component is participating in on-call duty to respond to accidents involving water-polluting substances, requiring the ability to maintain an overview in demanding situations. Candidates must possess a State Certified Technician qualification in Environmental Protection Technology, coupled with extensive professional experience and routine familiarity with MS Office.
