Job Summary

This role supports Germany's highest research station on the Zugspitze, offering a unique platform for high-altitude and climate research. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and operational equipment, including independent troubleshooting and component replacement. Daily tasks also involve general building maintenance, providing technical support to scientists (e.g., setting up measuring devices), coordinating material transport, and managing inventories both at the station and in the valley. The position requires a physically fit, mountain-experienced, and responsible professional, either a qualified Electrician with several years of experience or a certified Master Electrician, capable of handling technical drawings and maintaining composure under pressure. This is a crucial, varied, and largely independent position supporting critical scientific endeavors in a challenging environment.
