Job Summary

This permanent, full or part-time position involves the realization and continuous further development of a crucial geobased application for the consistent processing of Rural Land Consolidation procedures (Flurbereinigungsgesetz) within the State of Lower Saxony's agricultural administration. Day-to-day responsibilities cover the full development lifecycle, including programming, automated testing, refactoring, documentation, and commissioning. The role also requires active participation in nationwide technical working groups and involvement in requirements analysis and effort estimation. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Informatics (Geo-, Administrative, or Business) or an IT-related field, coupled with very strong programming skills in GIS system development. Essential technical knowledge includes proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, and QGIS. Required Skills

Education

  • Professional experience in full-cycle software development (Programming, Testing, Documentation, Commissioning)
  • Professional experience with Python, PostgreSQL, and QGIS
  • Ideal: Knowledge of Rural Land Consolidation procedures and official land registry systems
