Job Summary

This role requires a dedicated engineer to drive the planning and implementation of sophisticated automation and vision solutions within the R&D Process Development team. You will manage the entire development lifecycle, from initial prototypes and complex experimental setups to complete pilot lines. A core function involves developing, programming, and optimizing machine sequences for both continuous (roll-to-roll) and discontinuous processes using industry-standard automation languages like Siemens S7, TIA Portal, and Beckhoff TwinCAT. Furthermore, the role involves selecting, integrating, and setting up advanced Vision Systems for In-Process Control (IPC) and incorporating robotics solutions. This position is highly attractive as it sits at the intersection of PLC programming, image processing, and robotics, enabling the generation of robust datasets crucial for developing innovative manufacturing procedures, particularly within the medical technology sector. You will also lead or co-lead automation projects, managing design, realization, cost, and resource planning.
