Job Summary

This role is for an innovative Data Scientist to join an interdisciplinary team focused on designing, evaluating, and integrating high-value AI and data-driven models, specifically within the domains of circular economy, digital product passports, and digital twins. The successful candidate will develop scalable digital solutions for knowledge and data management related to sustainability and climate change, leveraging expertise in AI/ML and Large Language Models (LLMs). Key responsibilities include ensuring solutions are scientifically excellent and user-oriented, supporting ongoing stakeholder communication, and actively contributing to the research community through publications and conference presentations. Required qualifications include a university degree (BSc or MSc) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, strong proficiency in Python for data processing, and a solid grasp of software engineering principles, data modeling, and APIs. Initial experience with machine learning concepts and semantic technologies (like Neo4j or RDF/SPARQL) is essential, alongside familiarity with Git and Docker for collaborative workflows. This position offers the chance to expand professional networks nationally and internationally while working on compelling applied research topics.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's (BSc) or Master's (MSc) University Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience

  • Initial experience with machine learning concepts and semantic/graph technologies (e.g., Neo4j, RDF/SPARQL) or digital twin systems.
  • Professional experience applying AI/ML and LLMs to build intelligent digital solutions.
  • Experience with Python for data processing and service development.
  • Experience supporting collaborative and reproducible development workflows using Git and Docker.
