Job Summary
This role involves serving as a Climate Manager within the newly established Regional Office for Natural Climate Protection in Bremen, focusing specifically on protected areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing projects aimed at natural climate protection within these sensitive ecological zones. Key daily tasks include leading the integration of natural climate protection concerns into management plans and regulations for protected areas, prioritizing measures based on climate, biodiversity, and conservation goals, and supporting the application and implementation of federal natural climate protection programs. This position requires a Master's degree in relevant fields such as Environmental Sciences, Landscape Planning, or Environmental Law, coupled with strong knowledge of nature conservation law and statutory conservation instruments. Required Skills
Education
Completed scientific university degree (Master or Diploma Univ./TU) in Administrative, Natural, or Environmental Sciences (interdisciplinary), Landscape/Environmental Planning, Environmental Management, or Environmental Law, or qualification for judicial office
Experience
- Professional experience in natural climate protection, nature conservation, or ecosystem management
- Desirable: Initial practical professional experience in protected area management
- Desirable: Administrative experience
