Job Summary

This role seeks a Chemical Engineer to join the R&D Diagnostics Development team in Penzberg, focusing on innovative technologies for recombinant protein production crucial for diagnostic applications. The core responsibility involves developing robust manufacturing processes for these proteins, managing the entire lifecycle from lab scale through production transfer. Day-to-day tasks include performing purification and detailed bioanalysis of membrane-bound proteins sourced from mammalian cell cultures. You will apply and optimize various chromatographic methods (e.g., Affinity, Ion Exchange, Size Exclusion) and establish detergent or lipid-based systems for stabilizing membrane proteins during analysis. A successful candidate holds a Master's degree in a relevant scientific field and possesses comprehensive experience in protein purification and bioanalytics, particularly with membrane-bound proteins. Experience

  • Familiarity with techniques for solubilization and stabilization of membrane proteins (e.g., using detergents or lipids)
  • Professional experience developing robust manufacturing processes for recombinant proteins (lab scale to production transfer)
