Job Summary

This role is with a globally leading technology company in the optical and optoelectronic industry, driving technological progress in digitalization, health, and Industry 4.0. As an FPGA Developer, you will be deeply involved in the continuous development and maintenance of highly complex FPGA code within an interdisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include actively participating in the design and optimization of circuits that utilize FPGAs, and developing advanced image processing algorithms implemented via FPGA technology. You will also oversee external development teams to ensure quality and project goals are met. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and possesses comprehensive expertise in FPGAs, specifically Xilinx, alongside strong command of VHDL or Verilog. Proficiency in simulation tools like ModelSim and practical Python skills for developing test tools are essential. Strong communication skills in both German and English are required for success in this collaborative environment.
