Job Summary

This critical role involves ensuring the approved operational readiness of waste incineration plants at the Heringen (Werra) site. The Power Plant Operator will be responsible for the continuous monitoring and control of boiler systems during normal operation, as well as during complex start-up, shutdown, and disturbance procedures. Key daily tasks include independently performing electrical and mechanical isolations, supporting on-site maintenance and repair activities, and conducting detailed fault analysis across mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Candidates must possess a completed technical apprenticeship in metalworking or electrical engineering, coupled with multi-year experience operating complex process engineering facilities or power plants in a shift environment. Ideal applicants will already hold or be willing to obtain a Boiler Attendant certification and show a commitment to professional development, aiming for further training as a Power Plant Master. Required Skills

Education

Completed apprenticeship in a metalworking or electrical engineering profession. Desired: Further training as EEW Operator, Plant Operator TAB, or Certified Power Plant Technician. Completed Boiler Attendant course with examination required, or willingness to obtain it.
