Job Summary

This role seeks a Geoinformatics Specialist with high IT affinity to work in the Agricultural Economics department in Innsbruck, focusing on the creation and management of spatial data. The specialist will be responsible for developing analog and digital maps and plans, primarily utilizing ESRI's ArcGIS software suite. Key daily tasks include applying GIS analysis techniques, developing data models for spatial information, and automating spatial analyses and data management processes. The position involves supporting ArcGIS Online users, collecting, analyzing, and visualizing geodata, and assisting with the administration of the digital Alpine Pasture Book. Candidates must possess a technical or natural science Bachelor's degree or equivalent high school diploma (BHS/HTL), strong analytical skills, and C2-level German proficiency. This is a full-time, permanent position offering flexible working hours and long-term stability.

Required Skills

Education

Completed Bachelor's degree (technical or natural science field) or high school diploma from a higher technical school (BHS or HTL equivalent)

Experience

  • Experience in data preparation (advantageous)
  • Experience with CAD (advantageous)
  • Experience with databases (advantageous)
  • Experience with image processing programs (advantageous)
  • Basic knowledge of Geoinformation Systems and Surveying
