This permanent professorship, starting September 1, 2026, at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences (HSD), focuses on Business Informatics and Databases within the Electrical and Information Technology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across Bachelor's and Master's programs, developing research and instruction in cutting-edge fields such as Data-Driven Innovation (DataLab), Virtual Enterprise Lab, and Smart Systems Studio. A key aspect of the role involves mandatory participation in the 'Learning in the Makerspace (LiMa)' project, requiring expertise in Maker Education, Sustainable Development, and Digitalization, and implementing innovative didactic approaches like Service Learning and Research-Based Learning. Candidates must possess a qualified doctorate and several years of professional experience outside academia, coupled with long-term experience in Business Informatics or Databases. Required Skills

Education

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience in Business Informatics or Databases
