Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Industrial Electronics Technician to join a team in Dortmund, focusing on the critical infrastructure of rail energy supply systems. The core responsibilities involve the hands-on assembly, installation, and meticulous maintenance of complex operational systems, including setting up and commissioning 16.7 Hz converter stations and DC substations used by various rail lines (S-Bahn, U-Bahn, and streetcars). Daily tasks require rigorous testing, detailed documentation of installations, fault analysis, and proactive troubleshooting post-commissioning, alongside creating technical reports and commissioning protocols. Candidates must possess a completed electrical engineering qualification and several years of relevant professional experience. Specific expertise is required in medium voltage switching authorization, AC/DC switchgear, transformers, frequency converters, and grid protection technology.
