Job Summary

This pivotal role involves leading and developing the Situation Monitoring Center (CMS) within the Swiss defense sector, focusing specifically on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) threats. The officer is responsible for continuous observation, evaluation, and analysis of the CBRN situation, translating complex specialist topics into actionable advice for senior management. A key component of the job is ensuring the timely assessment and dissemination of critical security information both nationally and internationally. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, flexibility, and a high degree of performance readiness, coordinating vital exchanges with specialized Swiss and foreign partners to effectively detect and counter CBRN threats. Candidates should hold a university degree and demonstrate interest in NBC defense matters.

Required Skills

Education

University degree or degree from a University of Applied Sciences

Experience

  • Professional experience in NBC defense and CBRN threat assessment
  • Experience as a staff officer in operations and/or intelligence services (a distinct advantage)
  • Professional experience in leading and developing monitoring centers
