Day-to-day responsibilities include building detailed dynamic simulation models of converters and their controls using specialized tools like MATLAB/Simulink and PSCAD/EMTDC. A core function is the integration of advanced voltage-forming control concepts, such as direct voltage regulation and Grid-Forming-Control. The engineer will also conduct rigorous dynamic analyses for network stability investigations, assessing reactive power requirements and transient behavior.
