Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity to join a leading energy technology firm, Siemens Energy, as a Project Engineer specializing in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Control Systems. Day-to-day responsibilities focus heavily on the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems, including developing and maintaining technical specifications, manuals, and HMI concepts. You will define functional requirements for visual displays and perform project planning for HMI software, specifically utilizing Copa Data Zenon. A critical aspect of the job involves integrating and validating HMI components within test environments, ensuring flawless configuration, and providing technical support during commissioning and customer acceptance tests. Success in this position requires a completed degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering, coupled with substantial practical experience in HMI system project planning and familiarity with key control system protocols like IEC 61850, IEC 101, and OPC. Excellent communication skills in both German and English are essential for effective stakeholder coordination with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
