Job Summary

This permanent position seeks a skilled Network Architect to join the EAM Netz GmbH team, focusing on the core IT infrastructure within the Process IT landscape. The successful candidate will be responsible for the conception, maintenance, and configuration of network management systems, ensuring operational functionality in close collaboration with system manufacturers. A key part of the role involves designing, building, and operating the virtualization environment, associated server infrastructure, network storage solutions, and secure remote maintenance access. Furthermore, the architect will develop crucial guidelines and standards for IP-based networks across the EAM Group, continuously optimizing systems for attack detection (SzA), and actively participating in internal and external security audits (ISMS). Candidates must hold a degree in Informatics or possess equivalent professional experience, coupled with deep knowledge of network protocols, IT security products, and operating systems like MS Windows and Linux. This role requires strong analytical thinking, decisiveness, and participation in on-call duty.
