Job Summary
This role is central to implementing the Vaud Cantonal Soil Action Plan (2025–2030), focusing on the sustainable preservation and management of soils across agriculture, construction, and forestry. The specialist will work transversally within the Directorate General for Agriculture and Environment, collaborating closely with local Vaud agricultural stakeholders. Key responsibilities include disseminating scientific knowledge and providing expert advice on soil protection to farmers and agricultural extension workers. The position also requires designing, organizing, and supervising agronomic trials, and coordinating exchange platforms to share results. This is a crucial scientific position aimed at ensuring resilient soils capable of fulfilling essential ecosystem functions for future generations, requiring a Master's degree in pedology and excellent communication skills for public outreach.

Master's degree in Pedology, Biogeosciences, or equivalent training
Experience
- Professional experience in animating groups, workshops, or meetings
- Good knowledge of the agricultural sector and its practices
