Job Summary

This is an exciting, permanent, full-time academic staff position within the Department of Chemistry, specializing in Physical and Surface Chemistry, at Philipps-Universität Marburg. The successful candidate will play a central role in teaching, research, and scientific organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing and conducting practical courses and lectures in Physical Chemistry, managing planned collaborative projects, and actively participating in planning research projects and securing external funding (third-party funds). A key technical focus involves the maintenance, development, and operation of specialized equipment for surface research, including the planning and leadership of synchrotron radiation times. This role requires a Ph.D. in Chemistry with a focus on experimental surface research, strong coordination skills for collaborative projects, and excellent communication abilities in a diverse, multidisciplinary environment.
