Job Summary

This full-time IT System Administrator role, based in Darmstadt, involves actively shaping the digital future of the Studierendenwerk Darmstadt. The successful candidate will be a key part of the IT Operations team, ensuring system stability, driving modern solutions, and contributing to the digital, sustainable, and human-centered future for students. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-Level support, administering Windows Servers and Microsoft 365 environments (including Entra ID and Exchange Online), and managing the core IT infrastructure (clients, servers, network). A crucial aspect of the job is active involvement in IT projects, such as cloud migrations, system introductions, and automation initiatives. The role requires a background in IT system integration, strong technical knowledge of Windows Server environments, networking, and experience with virtualization and database systems, coupled with excellent German and good English skills.
