Job Summary

This role involves managing all aspects of trade compliance, focusing heavily on import and export customs procedures for a leading global system provider of submarines and naval vessels in Bremen. The Trade Compliance Manager will be responsible for the independent analysis and execution of import and export customs declarations, utilizing various procedures such as active and passive refinement and free circulation. Key daily tasks include analyzing trade transactions, processing customs documentation (e.g., Export Accompanying Document, Dangerous Goods Declaration), and preparing statistics for the Federal Statistical Office. A crucial element is advising internal interfaces on trade matters and optimizing freight capacity disposition across road, air, and sea transport, while considering economic factors. Candidates must possess strong professional experience in logistics and customs, excellent knowledge of customs and foreign trade law, and proficiency in SAP and MS Office. Fluency in German and good English skills are required for success in this demanding, specialized role.
