Job Summary
This permanent, full-time role seeks a skilled Protection Systems Technician responsible for the comprehensive management of conventional and digital protection and control systems within substations. Daily duties include commissioning, rigorous testing, and performing routine maintenance. A core function of the role is the independent analysis and sustainable resolution of complex faults affecting protection and control systems. The technician will also be involved in the technical specification of components, parameterizing medium-voltage protection devices, and utilizing specialized software tools like Neplan or PowerFactory for grid planning and analysis. Candidates must possess a background in Electrical Engineering (degree or advanced technical certification), demonstrable expertise with protection relays and station control technology, and practical experience using standard testing devices such as the Omicron CMC 356. The position requires a self-motivated, structured approach and willingness to travel within Germany.
