Job Summary

This role is based at Power Oil Rostock GmbH, one of Germany's largest oil mills and a subsidiary of the globally active GETREIDE AG. The IT System Administrator will be a core member of the team, jointly responsible for maintaining optimal IT performance and driving the continuous development of internal IT processes. Day-to-day duties involve the installation, configuration, and administration of critical infrastructure, including Windows server and client systems, network components, IP-based telephone systems, data backup solutions, and WLAN infrastructure. A significant part of the job is providing comprehensive user support, delivered both on-site and remotely via phone and remote access tools. Key qualifications include a completed vocational training in the IT field or equivalent long-term professional experience. Candidates must demonstrate good knowledge in areas such as IPv4/IPv6 networking, Microsoft Windows environments, IP telephony, or MS Office 365, coupled with a strong service-oriented mindset. The position requires fluent written and spoken German and the flexibility for occasional business travel.
