Job Summary

TÜV Rheinland is seeking motivated students for a practical semester or final thesis project in Plant Safety Engineering at the Ludwigshafen site. This role offers the chance to actively contribute to the Industrial Service and Cybersecurity division, focusing on enhancing safety in industrial plants amid increasing digitalization and networking. Day-to-day responsibilities involve active participation in project business, supporting experienced experts, and working directly on tasks related to the German Incident Ordinance (Störfallverordnung). Key activities include creating essential safety documentation such as safety reports, hazard analyses, fire and explosion protection documents, and performing dispersion calculations. Candidates must be in their 5th semester or later in relevant engineering fields (e.g., Process or Chemical Engineering) and possess a strong affinity for plant safety and process technology. This position provides invaluable hands-on experience applying national and industrial methods to ensure the safety, performance, and profitability of critical industrial assets.

Required Skills

Education

Enrollment in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Sustainable Chemistry, or similar degree programs (5th semester or higher)
