Job Summary
This role involves serving as a Department Head within the 'Water, NMR, Elements' division at a public institution focused on consumer, animal, and environmental protection. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organization, work safety, and quality assurance within their laboratory area. Key day-to-day tasks include co-responsibility for the development, validation, and application of quantitative and non-targeted Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) methods for official food monitoring. Additionally, the role covers elemental analysis (Elementanalytik) of water, food, and consumer goods. The position requires interdisciplinary communication, participation in national and international expert committees, and the readiness to assume personnel management responsibilities. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Food Chemistry, Chemistry, or comparable natural science qualification. PhD is welcome.
Experience
- Professional experience in instrumental analytics, particularly ICP-MS and NMR
- Experience in software programming (e.g., Python or MATLAB) and multivariate data analysis is beneficial
- Initial experience in personnel responsibility is beneficial
- Knowledge of food law is advantageous
