Job Summary
This role is for a Media Technology Engineer who will be a central figure in managing and advancing the media technology within a modern history museum. The position involves the maintenance, operational security, and updating of media technology in permanent and temporary exhibitions, including LED walls, audio/video stations, and interactive units. You'll also be responsible for the technical planning, procurement, and implementation of new media technology for upcoming exhibitions, alongside developing and programming new interactive media units. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary team, collaborating closely with exhibition teams, designers, IT, facility management, and external service providers, contributing to engaging and immersive museum experiences.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Media Informatics, Media Technology, or a related field
Experience
- Professional experience in system integration and current hardware
- Experience with operating complex media technology installations in exhibitions (desirable)
- Experience with public sector tendering procedures (highly advantageous)
