Job Summary
This role at TÜV Rheinland involves taking independent responsibility for the planning and execution of hygiene and microbiological investigations within technical systems and buildings. The Expert Assessor will be crucial in ensuring functional safety and regulatory compliance, particularly focusing on evaporative cooling systems, cooling towers, and wet scrubbers. Day-to-day tasks include conducting risk analyses according to the Drinking Water Ordinance, performing hygiene inspections (VDI 6022), and creating detailed, complex expert reports, offers, and assessments. The position requires strong qualifications, such as a university degree in Engineering (Process Engineering or Environmental Hygiene preferred) or a relevant Master/Technician certification, coupled with professional expertise in plant mechanics. A key requirement is possessing or being willing to obtain the official IHK Expert Assessor status for the relevant technical field. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Engineering (Process Engineering or Environmental Hygiene specialization preferred) OR Technician/Master certification in Plant Mechanics (Sanitary, Heating, and Air Conditioning Technology).
Experience
- Successful completion of a university degree in Engineering, preferably Process Engineering or Environmental Hygiene, or comparable natural/engineering science qualification
- Qualification as a Technician or Master in Plant Mechanics for Sanitary, Heating, and Air Conditioning Technology (alternative requirement)
- Must possess or be willing to obtain official IHK Expert Assessor status for evaporative cooling systems, cooling towers, and wet scrubbers
