Job Summary

This role involves independently managing and supervising the technical building systems within the Humboldt Forum, focusing heavily on operational excellence and maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of technical building equipment, including heating, cooling, ventilation, sanitary, and conveying systems. Key duties include leading a small team of five employees, ensuring compliance with all technical regulations, and coordinating with external contractors, event organizers, and utility providers. The position requires a degree in building or supply engineering, professional experience in facility operation and maintenance, and knowledge of public procurement law (VOB, HOAI). This is an attractive opportunity for a service-oriented engineer to take on a leadership role in a prominent cultural institution in the heart of Berlin.

Technical university degree (Bachelor, Diplom (FH)) in Supply Engineering, Building Services, or related technical fields

Experience

  • Professional experience in the operation and maintenance of sanitary, heating, cooling, and ventilation technology
  • Experience with conveying systems is desirable
  • Experience in leading and managing teams (five employees)
