Job Summary

This role offers an opportunity to join Roche Diagnostics in Mannheim as a Development Engineer focused on Point-of-Care (POC) diagnostic systems, initially through a fixed-term contract via a staffing agency with the goal of permanent placement. The engineer will be responsible for executing independent development tasks, including running complex test programs and systematically evaluating system interferences and dependencies across various device generations. Key daily activities involve preparing and assessing laboratory samples, collecting data for the creation of manufacturing and testing regulations, and meticulous documentation of experimental results using protocols, tables, and graphics. Candidates should possess a background as a Chemical/Biological Technician or a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biology. Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel and Word is required, and prior experience in developing POC diagnostic systems is highly advantageous. Success in this role requires strong planning skills for designing complex experimental series and the ability to present findings effectively to the working group.
