Job Summary

This role involves the hardware development of Electronic Control Units (ECU) for both electric drive systems and conventional internal combustion engines. Key responsibilities include designing control, sensor, communication, and supply electronics, as well as power electronics for the ECU. The technician will be responsible for creating PCB layouts, conducting developer tests, and supporting experts in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and functional safety. This expert position acts as the electrical interface between mechanical design, procurement, suppliers, manufacturing, and prototyping teams. The ideal candidate possesses a technical degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, coupled with several years of professional experience as a Hardware Design Engineer in vehicle electronics development, and strong knowledge of circuit simulation and PCB design.

Technical degree (University/Applied Sciences/Higher Technical Institute - HTL) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Electronics, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience as a HW Design Engineer in vehicle electronics development
