Job Summary
The State Office for Mining, Geology, and Raw Materials (LBGR) is seeking an IT Specialist and Coordinator to join their team in Cottbus. This permanent role focuses heavily on the digitalization of the authority, specifically through the conception, creation, maintenance, and continuous development of specialized IT applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing technical support, conducting requirements analysis, drafting technical specifications (Lasten- und Pflichtenhefte), consulting internal departments, and managing employee workstations. The role requires experience working with large relational databases and includes responsibilities related to Artificial Intelligence development and communication with central service providers. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor/Diplom FH) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Computer and Communication Technologies, Administrative Informatics, IT Security, or Geoinformatics; OR completed IT vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration or Application Development) combined with relevant experience; OR equivalent abilities and experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT specialized application development and technical maintenance
- Professional experience in requirements analysis and specification drafting
- If relying on vocational training: At least 3 years of professional experience in relevant IT fields (e.g., System Integration or Application Development)

- Must provide C1 German language certificate if German is not the native language or if the applicant does not hold German citizenship. Foreign degrees require translation and evaluation by the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) or an ANABIN excerpt. Work location is Cottbus.
