Job Summary
This permanent public sector role, based in Frankfurt am Main and covering the South Hesse region, involves critical market surveillance duties focused on product and chemical safety. The primary goal is to prevent the import and trade of unsafe consumer products within the region. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing consumer products flagged by customs notifications, conducting extensive field controls and inspections across international import/export businesses, wholesale, and retail sectors, and performing risk assessment of products. The role also requires active market observation, including controls at trade fairs. Candidates must possess a successfully completed Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Process Engineering. Professional experience in the safety assessment and evaluation of unsafe products is highly desirable. Success in this position requires excellent German communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a Class B driver's license for unrestricted field work.
