Job Summary

This role involves specialized laboratory and technical work focusing heavily on occupational safety, environmental management, and wastewater treatment within a chemical/galvanic environment. The technician will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing the existing wastewater system, conducting detailed wastewater and bath analyses, and ensuring strict compliance with environmental regulations (WHG, LWG). Key day-to-day tasks include performing safety inspections, conducting risk assessments, training staff on safety topics, and managing waste disposal logistics using the electronic waste verification procedure (e-ANV). The ideal candidate holds a degree or qualification in Chemistry, Environmental Technology, or Process Engineering, possesses initial experience in wastewater treatment or environmental management, and ideally holds (or is willing to acquire) the Occupational Safety Specialist qualification.
