Job Summary

This Senior System Engineer role involves operating and orchestrating critical containerized applications within the online banking solution for the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing robust security measures, including RBAC and Network Policies, and managing container security through image scanning and vulnerability management. A core part of the role is automating deployment by creating and maintaining Helm charts and building robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. Furthermore, you will implement and operate monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK-Stack) and automate infrastructure management using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi. The position requires deep expertise in Kubernetes and container technologies, strong Linux skills, and a willingness to contribute to backend development, offering a hybrid work arrangement based in Berlin.
