Job Summary
This part-time, temporary role as a Laboratory Engineer in Applied Computer Science at Hochschule Harz involves the comprehensive management and maintenance of specialized IT laboratories. The successful candidate will be responsible for the selection, procurement, installation, operation, and ongoing maintenance of both hardware and software systems crucial for the Automation and Informatics department. A significant part of the role includes actively supporting laboratory exercises, practical sessions, and student projects, including those held online. Furthermore, the engineer will be responsible for instructing students, providing necessary safety briefings, and ensuring the smooth operation of the technical environment. Candidates should possess a university degree, preferably in Computer Science or Business Informatics, and ideally have competencies in network management, cybersecurity, and internet technologies, coupled with strong organizational and communication skills.
